RE- SEASONING YOUR SENSWARE

seasoning a cast iron sensware is much simpler than you might imagine

Never fear about the rusted spots in cast iron sensware , simply scrub your rusted cookware down to its base layer using rock salt along with  steel wool and  follow the instructions below

OVEN SEASONING OF SENSWARE

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit. (Fahrenheit)
  • Rinse the cookware well in hot soapy water(luke warm water) and dry  promptly and thoroughly with a line – free cloth or paper towel (or) place it on a burner over medium heat until all the water evaporates.
  • Wipe a thin coat of vegetable oil around the entire surface of cookware.(leaving too much oil on is a common mistake that will leave your cookware sticky)
  • Place the cookware upside down on the oven at 375 degree Fahrenheit( place  foil on a lower rack to catch drips).
  • Bake for 1 hour and allow the cookware to cool completely in oven

Once it’s cooled , your sensware is good to go”.

 

 HOB SEASONING OF SENSWARE

  • Rinse the cookware well in luke warm water and dry  promptly and thoroughly with a line – free cloth or paper towel (or) place it on a burner over medium heat until all the water evaporates.
  • Wipe a thin coat of vegetable oil around the entire surface of cookware .
  • Heat it on stove in low – medium heat for 20 mins until it smoke well
  • Allow the cookware to cool completely.

Once it’s cooled , your sensware is good to go.

If this is the first time you are seasoning your sensware , its best to do this process twice in a row.

(Note : sensware recommend oven seasoning for better result)
